JON BON JOVI IS « NOT RUNNING ANYMORE » AND GOES TO THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS
The new Fisher Stevens’ movie starring Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin has been nominated for a Golden Globe Awards this year. It is not the acting, nor the directing that have been chosen for this movie but the song.
The movie relates the story of three aging con men who try to get the old gang back together for the last hurrah before one of the guys takes his last assignment, which is killing his comrade. A moving story about friendship, commitments, decisions to make and to stand up for. The movie will be in theaters in the USA on the 1st of February 2013.
Jon Bon Jovi (leader of the band Bond Jovi) wrote two songs for Stand Up Guys: Hold Habits Die Hard and Not Running Anymore. This last song is the one nominated.
The rock singer is not unfamiliar to this kind of prize! He has already been nominated and won the Golden Globe Award for the song Blaze of Glory in 1990, soundtrack of Young Guns II (soundtrack that he wrote entirely).
The music video features Jon Bon Jovi walking around the city while singing the song in between scenes of the movie; and we have to say the song is quite emotional… But will it stand against Adele’s Skyfall or the other nominees?
