AD APRIRE LA KERMESSE, THE FIFTH ESTATE
Ancora una volta, il Toronto International Film Fest si riconferma come uno dei più interessanti del mondo cinematografico. Da anni ormai ha acquisito la nomina di vetrina dei migliori film che si vedranno sul grande schermo, nonché premonitori delle future nomination agli Oscar. Come smentire, visti i titoli in programma? La kermesse, che si terrà dal 5 al 15 Settembre prossimo, non solo vanta anteprime mondiali tra i film più attesi e ambiti, ma ha anche la qualità di poter vantare le opere migliori passate per altri festival dall’inizio di quest’anno.
La dice lunga già il film proiettato nella giornata di apertura, cioè The Fifth Estate. Diretto da Bill Condon, è l’adattamento cinematografico che si rifà a due opere letterarie sulla storia del fondatore di Wikileakes, Julian Assange.
Tra le tante anteprime in programma, oltre 70 – la lista ufficializzata non è infatti quella definitiva, in quanto ulteriori nomi saranno aggiunti nei prossimi giorni, spiccano 12 Years A Slave di Steve McQueen con Michael Fassbender, Devil’s Knot di Atom Egoyan con Colin Firth, Gravity di Alfonso Cuaròn con George Clooney, La Grande Bellezza di Paolo Sorrentino, Anni Felici di Daniele Lucchetti, Rush di Ron Howard, Don Jon di Joseph Gordon-Levitt, August: Osage Country di John Wells con Meryl Streep, You Are Here di Matthew Weiner con Renee Zellweger, Matt Dillon, Zach Galifianakis e Rachel Adams. E naturalmente Life of Crime, il film di chiusura del festival per la regia di Daniel Schecter.
