Every film festival has his own quality and all cinema events spread in the world have their distinctive features. There is the international festival, big and glitzy, there is the independent festival and then the animated features festival and the short films festival. Film 4 Life tries to follow the majority of them.
All festivals focus on a high quality of cinema that links tradition and innovation, each festival then tries to shine, importing and exporting many films and making them known, creates also a real forum between viewers, press and film professionals. This happens also at Newport Beach Film Festival, an important event that is taking place in these days in Orange County, in Los Angels. Newport Beach Film Festival was born to create a relevant stage, with a very rich and interesting program, and as a channel among young people and cinema.
Besides the movies selected, Newport Beach Film Festival has a series of side events as the Italian Spotlight, of which we are proudly official media partner. It’s a festival in the festival, set in a spectacular location as Los Angeles, the city of dreams. Inside the European Showcase, that celebrates the best European productions, Italian Spotlight selected Viaggio sola (A five star life) by Maria Sole Tognazzi to represent Italy. Last night the movie, starring Margherita Buy and Stefano Accorsi, was shown to the audience achieving a good success.
Even the short film Nati senza istruzioni (Born without instructions) by Valentina Olivato starring Matteo Pianezzi, that was screened before the movie, received a round of applause. From Newport Beach Film Festival then arrives a further proof that, if Italian movies are well done, they are appreciated also in California, in the land of Worldwide cinema.
