OPPENHEIMER E’ FAVORITO. IO CAPITANO ENTRA NELLA CINQUINA. SORPRESE TRA GLI ATTORI NOMINATI.
Dopo essersi sfidati al box office Barbie (8 nomination) e Oppenheimer (13 nomination) si trovano testa a testa anche agli Oscars. A dar loro filo da torcere Poor Things – Povere creature! e Killers of the Flower Moon, rispettivamente con 11 e 10. C’è Io Capitano nella cinquina dei miglior film stranieri. Dovrà vedersela con l’inglese The zone of interest, nono film di lingua non inglese ad aggiudicarsi una nomination in entrambe le categorie di miglior film e film straniero.
Sorprese nelle categorie degli attori con grandi esclusi (no Leonardo DiCaprio, no Margot Robbie). Favorito è Cillian Murphy, ma Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers – Lezioni di vita) continua a guadagnare consensi grazie alle recenti vittorie ai Critics e Golden Globes. È sfida aperta tra le migliori attrici con Emma Stone leggermente avanti, ma grandi possibilità per Carey Mulligan, Lily Gladstone e Annette Bening. In dieci sono alla loro prima nomination in carriera, in tre hanno già vinto in passato (Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster e Emma Stone).
Emily Blunt e Robert Downey Jr, entrambi in Oppenheimer, sono favoriti come non protagonisti, ma, considerato che questa categoria ha sempre in serbo delle sorprese, non è da sottovalutare la nomination a Ryan Gosling (Barbie).
Steven Spielberg colleziona la sua 13esima nomination come produttore di un miglior film (Maestro), terza di fila. È record anche per il compositore John Williams alla sua 49esima per la colonna sonora e 54esima in totale, contando miglior canzone. Martin Scorsese a 81 anni diventa il regista più longevo a ricevere una nomination. Hayao Miyazaki, invece, colleziona la sua quarta nomination per film d’animazione .
La cerimonia di premiazione è prevista per il 10 marzo, con inizio anticipato di un’ora.
